Glass Of Water (ver 4) by Coldplay

Coldplay - Glass of water

Tabbed by Deluke

Hey guys! I went through some of the tabs online and found that none of them
actually displayed the sound of the song properly. So i did my own one and there you go!
Don't get afraid of the chords. They're basically only little variations of D.
Listen to the song to get a feeling for the strumming especially in the Verses
where it's the same over and over again.
I tried to match the Chords to the words the best i could. It seems very untidy at
first but makes it much easier to play and sing along.

Have fun!

=== VERSE 1 ===

Dsus4-D Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D
Scared of losin' all the time

He wrote it in a letter,

he was a friend of mine

Dsus4-D Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D
He heard you could see your future

  Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D
Inside a glass of water

     Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D Dsus2 D7Maj
with ripples and the lines

              Gsus2 Aadd9
And he asked, "Will I see heaven in mine?"

=== FILL ===

Dsus4-D Dsus2 D7Maj (2x)

=== VERSE 2 ===

Dsus4-D Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D
That is just the way it was

Nothing could be better

    Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D Dsus2 D7Maj
and nothing ever was

    Dsus4-D Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D
Oh, they say you can see your future

  Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D
Inside a glass of water,

    Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D Dsus2 D7Maj
the riddles and the rhymes

Gsus2 Aadd9
"Will I see heaven in mine?"

D F#m Bm G
son,

      D F#m Bm G

Neither how full nor empty is your glass

D F#m Bm G
Cling

       D F#m Bm G
to the mast

           D F#m Bm G G E5 G
Spend your whole life living in the past

Going nowhere fast

   Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D
is no halo at all

Dsus4-D Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D
Tele - visions selling plastic figurines of leaders

   Dsus2 D7Maj Dsus4-D
Saying nothing at all

             Gsus2 Aadd9
And you chime, stars in heaven align

D F#m Bm G
son,

Neither how full nor empty is your glass

D F#m Bm G

       D F#m Bm G
to the mast
